Fireworks are a big part of summertime celebrations but every year we see numerous injuries and deaths associated with these activities.
Please follow these helpful tips to keep yourself and others safe when lighting fireworks or sparklers.
Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparkers.
Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of fire or other mishaps.
Light fireworks one at a time, then move away quickly and safely.
Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully.
Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Make sure the fireworks you are using are legal in your area.
