Our Three Departments
-
Long Hill
Covering just over 50% of the Town of Trumbull, LHFD was founded in 1921 and is the largest of the three fire districts in town. Long Hill's "first due" area is protected by three fire stations and runs along Main Street from Bridgeport on the south, to Monroe on the north and west to the Easton town line.
-
Trumbull Center
Commonly referred to as, "The Center", TCFD's primary response area runs between White Plans Rd and up Daniels Farm to the East where it boarders Nichols, to Main Street to the West where it boarders Long Hill. Since 1925, Trumbull Center has been one of the busiest fire districts as they provide mutual aid to both Long Hill and Nichols.
-
Nichols
Since 1917, NFD has proudly protected "The Village" of Nichols. Bordered by Monroe to the North, Shelton to the East and Stratford to the South and Trumbull Center to the West, the district of Nichols encompasses the eastern quarter of the Town of Trumbull.
